Moving Away from Doubt

40 Things to Give Up for a Better Life

Removing doubt is like removing a blindfold.

#28 Letting doubt stop me

Today I did no writing whatsoever. Instead I spent my writing time doubting my abilities, doubting my ideas and doubting the quality of my past work. Doubt stole my enthusiasm, my creativity and my time.

Do you let doubt overwhelm you?

Instead of sitting in my doubts, I decided to take a walk in the park. I listened to the birds, felt the wind on my face and smiled at those I passed. I discovered as I walked, my focus moved from doubt to gratitude. Then gratitude led to ideas, and ideas filled me with excitement.

Today I realized doubt leads to inaction. But physical movement leads to renewed perspective.

Next time you are struggling with doubt, try going for a walk. See if putting one foot in front of the other helps your mindset too.
