A God Who Knows

“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV
Today is a religious day of mourning, the day after Jesus death, yet before his resurrection. How much sorrow his family, disciples, and followers must have felt. Imagine their confusion, fear and sadness.
Today as the entire world mourns symbolically, we also mourn literally over family and friends who are dying from Covid19.
It’s a relief to know the Father grieved over his son like we grieve over our lossed loved ones.
It’s a relief to know that if we seek for God we will find him. He is waiting to hold us in our grief. His arms are open wide – no social distancing with his hugs.
Lord,
You knew grief.
You know grief.
You understand ours.
We seek you.
We turn and run to your open arms.
Amen.
