Lord,

You deserve thanksgiving.

In the middle of winter I should curl up

Warm in your arms.

Instead of rushing my life.

Breath frozen on my lips.

Eyes squinted in the snow.

Help me learn to sit still.

To hear.

To live

inside your love.

Help me remember,

Know,

You are always with me.

Waiting

To wrap me in the warmth of your love.

I take a breath.

I breathe out.

You are near.

I will tell all.

Any who will stop and listen,

Of your warmth in the middle of winter.
